| Eligibility | For Engineering programs - 10+2 Secondary examination or an equivalent degree with 50% aggregate marks in Physics Chemistry and Maths (PCM). Students who are appearing in standard 12th exam currently or any such equivalent exam are also eligible for appearing in AIEEE For Architecture programs - 10+2 Secondary examination or an equivalent degree with 50% aggregate and Maths being one of the subjects Age Limit - For the above courses the maximum age of application is 25 years for general quota, for Scheduled cast (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped candidates (PH) the restriction is set at a higher bar of 30 years. |
| Application Process | There are two major steps involved in applying for AIEEE. The process includes collection of application form and submission of the filled application form: Step 1 : Collecting the information booklet which contains the application form by paying INR 300 for general candidates and INR 150 for SC/ST candidates from the notified branches of Syndicate bank. The same information booklet can also be sought via snail mail by sending a demand draft of INR 350 for general category candidates and INR 200 for SC/ST candidates. Step 2: The candidate can submit the form online with a photograph, a signature or thumb impression of the left hand in the prescribed column of the computer printed form. |
| Paper Pattern | There are two types of paper one for engineering and one for architecture - Engineering Paper - It contains of three parts with equal weightage given to Maths, Physics and Chemistry. The questions are objective in nature. The examination is for entry into BE/BTECH courses Architecture Paper - This is for entry into Barch/BPlanning courses and consists of Maths, Aptitude Test and Drawing. The purpose of the architecture test is to evaluate candidates perception, imagination, observation, creativity and architectural awareness The papers are objective in nature with multiple choice questions (4 options per question) with each having a single correct answer. There is negative marking for every incorrect answer with 1/3rd of the total marks alloted being deducted. If the question is left unanswered there is no deduction of marks. If the students marks more than one answer to any questions his answer is deemed to be incorrect and his response will be negatively marked. |
| Results | After the CBSE evaluates the answer sheet it generates a AIEEE scorecard which gives the candidate an unique all India rank and total marks. The scorecard is displayed online and sent to every candidate. |
