4 year full time course (includes 6 month internship in some universities). The course introduces the fundamentals of Physical metallurgy, extractive metallurgy, and mineral processing in the initial years and advances to production, design, and manufacturing of these metals.
Eligibility:
Class 10+2 or its equivalent (with mandatory subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) Academics of other subjects play no role in securing admissions. Minimum Cut Offs vary from university to University and the board in which class 12 exam has been passed ( ex: separate cut offs for ICSE and HSC board students )
Entrance test as may be necessary from university to university
OR
Diploma students can get into 2nd year of degree or 1st year depending on their grades in diploma (ex: a diploma student with higher 1st class might secure admission into the second year while some with 1st class will be eligible for 1st year
Further Study Options:
Candidates can choose between Management or Master in India or abroad. Each has various factors to be considered and its own set of pros and cons.
