The students under this course come up with their new design and their advantages filling up the flaw in the previous available designs. The students also tries to bring out some of the designs that can earn the builder maximum profit through less investment and with more safety.All the candidates shall successfully complete a Research Methodology course and one optional course prescribed for the programme or any two courses specified and recommended by the institutional Research Committee. A candidate having only a B.Arch. Degree shall, in addition, be required to pursue the course work successfully in six subjects of the Masters Degree courses of the School recommended by the Research Committee.On completion of the Ph.D. thesis, the candidate, apart from submitting necessary number of copies in the prescribed format as per the regulation/guideline of the respective university, must also submit a hard copy to the Council of Architecture and a CD, within three months of declaration of result of the thesis examination.
Eligibility:
The applicant for admission to Ph.D. programme shall possess the following qualification.a. Bachelors Degree in Architecture or equivalent and Masters degree in architecture/allied specialization or equivalent from any recognized institution.b. Bachelors Degree in architecture or equivalent in first class with ten years experience in teaching/research/professional practice.
Job Prospects:
There are ample scopes in the present market for these degree holders. One can work with various construction companies or development companies.
