MUIS_MeritScholarship Name: MUIS Merit partial scholarships for G and PG students 2013-14

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  1.   2. Have met the University's academic and English requirements for the course to be considered for a scholarship (must hold a full offer of admission for North Ryde by the application deadline).
  3. Have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 for Postgraduate applications and minimum requirement of an ATAR equivalent of 90 out of 100 for Undergraduate applications.


Scholarship details:

MUIS Merit is a Partial Scholarship for Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies, it is equivalent to $5,000 and it will be awarded towards the commencement fee or reimbursed if fees already paid.
The MUIS Merit Scholarships do NOT provide financial support in the form of a living allowance, nor does it provide for the cost of visa application, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), airfares, accommodation, conferences or other costs associated with study. This scholarship is not available to students studying at Macquarie City Campus or the Sydney Institute of Business & Technology (SIBT).

Scholarship Description:

The MUIS provides a partial tuition fee scholarship for outstanding students to study at Macquarie University North Ryde campus. It has been designed to recognise academic excellence and provide financial assistance for international students. MUIS Merit Partial Scholarships are country-specific and will be awarded progressively through the year to future applicants to Macquarie University. The MUIS is highly competitive and awarded based on academic merit.

How to apply:

Applicants must complete an online course application form. Online course application will enable you to select your course and upload scanned copies of the required documents. Once your course application has been processed, you will receive a Macquarie University Student Number which is compulsory to submit the online MUIS application form.

  1. At least the equivalent of A*AA at A-level if you are entering an undergraduate programme
  2. The equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree if you are entering a postgraduate taught programme

Eligibility:

  1. Students belong to BPL Cateogary, SC/ST Community
  2. Students who have passed Class XII from a recognized board in India
  3. 1st year under-graduate students

Scholarship details:

Disbursement of funds: Funds will be disbursed directly to Scholars, with the exception of tuition, hostel and related fees, which will be disbursed directly to the educational institution. Applicants are expected to take advantage of on-campus housing and meal plans when possible.
Award amount: These are determined by FAEA to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines. Final awards are based entirely on the discretion of the FAEA and may cover the full cost of proposed study plans up to five years.

Scholarship Description:

FAEA will be offering limited number of scholarships* for the year 2013-14 to pursue undergraduate studies in arts/commerce/science/medical/engineering and other technical and professional discipline at any university/institution/college of students' choice anywhere in India. These scholarships are sponsored by BHEL and Others.

Selection Process:

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews across India in the metropolitan city closest to student's domicile. Thereafter, a national panel will make the final selection and results will be declared. Eligibility:

  1. The scholarship is open to candidates who have been offered a place on any of the Kent at Rome MA programmes in Roman History and Archaeology or Ancient History, to start in September 2013.
  2. Candidates must hold a first-class Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject, or hold an equivalent non-UK qualification or a Master's degree at merit or distinction in a relevant subject or equivalent by July 2013.
  3. The scholarship will be awarded to outstanding applicants able to demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, clear intellectual ambition and the potential to make a strong contribution to their chosen MA programme.

Scholarship Description:

The University of Kent at Rome is pleased to be able to offer the following scholarship for taught Master's students for the academic year 2013–14:
Faculty of Humanities' Scholarship consisting of a fee waiver (worth £5,590) and a full maintenance stipend on £13,590, valid on a taught Master's programme in the Rome suite of programmes.

How to apply:

  1. Candidates must make a formal application to study on an applicable Rome taught Master's programme to commence their studies in September 2013.

Eligibility:

You should have the potential to work under your own initiative and will be expected to interact productively with collaborators in the biosciences, so excellent communication and organisational skills are required.
Applicants should have, or expect to receive a minimum of UK 2:1 honours degree in Chemistry (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area. An interest in organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry are essential. An interest in the biological evaluation of small molecules would be desirable.

Scholarship Description:

Applications are invited for a full-time PhD studentship in the School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences funded jointly by the Sydney Driscoll Neuroscience Foundation and Brain Tumour North West. The studentship is tenable for up to 3 years for a PhD (via MPhil route) [subject to satisfactory progress]. schScholarship Name: M8 Post-Doc Initiative for Early Career Postdoctoral Positions

Eligibility:

German as well as international researchers who expect to receive their doctorate within the next six months, as well as post-docs who received their doctorate at most one year prior to application (date of the PhD defense).

Scholarship details:

A post-doc position paid pursuant to the salary scale E 13 TV-L for a maximum of 24 months is granted after the completion of the PhD. Additionally, there is an allowance of up to €10,000 per year to cover e.g. costs of student assistants, publications and international mobility. Positions have to be taken up as soon as possible following the grant approval. Not later than 16 months after having taken up the early career postdoctoral position at the University of Bremen, an application for external subsequent funding for the post-docs own position has to be submitted.

Scholarship Description:

The Post-Doc Initiative offers another career track in addition to the Junior Professorships and the leaders of Junior Research Groups. Positions awarded competitively and with their own budget create more room for independent research in the post-doc phase. Career coaching and intensive counseling prepares the post-docs for their next career step.
Internationally advertised post-doc positions are offered in two different variants: early career postdoctoral positions for a period of two years and independent postdoctoral positions for a period of four years.

Eligibility:

Women of any nationality pursuing a Ph.D./doctoral degree who demonstrate a superior academic record in the field of aerospace-related sciences or aerospace-related engineering are eligible. Please note that post-doctoral research programs are not eligible for the Fellowship. Members and employees of Zonta International or the Zonta International Foundation are also not eligible to apply for the Fellowship. Current fellows may apply to renew the Fellowship for a second year and will undergo the same application and evaluation procedures as first-time applicants. Applicants must be registered in a full-time Ph.D./doctoral program when funds are received in September and will not graduate before April 2015.

Scholarship details:

Established in 1938 in honor of famed pilot and Zontian, Amelia Earhart, the Amelia Earhart Fellowship is awarded annually to women pursuing Ph.D./doctoral degrees in aerospace-related sciences or aerospace-related engineering. The Fellowship of US$10,000, awarded to 35 Fellows around the globe each year, may be used at any university or college offering accredited post-graduate courses and degrees in these fields.

Scholarship Description:

Today, women remain a distinct minority in science and engineering, representing approximately 10 percent of professionals in these fields. The Amelia Earhart Fellowship program helps talented women, pursuing advanced studies in the typically male-dominated fields of aerospace-related sciences and engineering, achieve their educational goals. The Fellowship enables these women to invest in state-of-the-art computers to conduct their research, purchase expensive books and resource materials, and participate in specialized studies around the globe. Amelia Earhart Fellows have gone on to become astronauts, aerospace engineers, astronomers, professors, geologists, business owners, heads of companies, even Secretary of the US Air Force.

A consortium of three research universities—Brown, Northwestern, and Stanford—seeks to appoint Mellon Postdoctoral Fellows in Dance Studies for the academic year 2014-15. Fellows will be associated with humanities centers on each campus and will teach two undergraduate courses. In addition, fellows will attend intensive week-long seminars, held the summer before and after the fellowship year, devoted to strategies for interdisciplinary research and teaching
