Women students have bagged the top three positions in the chartered accountancy (CA) final examinations.
Out of the 21,603 students who took the CA exam, 4,277 have been successful.
Women also achieved a higher passing rate than men. While 21.9 per cent of the women students - 2,368 of the 10,816 - passed the exam, only 19.8 per cent of the men who took the exam passed.
Traditionally, chartered accountancy has been predominantly a male domain in India.
Maitreyee Narayansing Rajaput of Pune achieved the first place;,Arti Jain of Bikaner the second and Charmy Suresh Sheth from Mumbai took the third position.
