IIM Indore Summer Internship Placement for batch 2011-2013

iim_indoreThe Indian of Institute of Management (IIM), Indore successfully completed the summer internship placement for the 2011-13 batch. The batch comprised of 450 students. As many as 142 companies participated in the summer placement drive. Nearly 33% of participating companies constituted new recruiters such as Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Amazon, Bank Of America, General Electric, Merrill Lynch, Accenture Management Consulting, TAS, Johnson & Johnson Consumer, Flipkart , Olam International, Lifestyle, Vodafone, Infibeam, Avalon Consulting, Yatra, Jaipur Rugs, Morarka Organics, TVS Motors and Redbus. The highest stipend offered was Rs 1.5 lakhs. The average stipend stood at Rs.115,000. The placement also witnessed participation from emerging sectors such as e-commerce and education.

Sales & Marketing:

Sales & Marketing was the largest recruiter with over 31% of students accepting internship offers from leading companies such as Pfizer, HUL, ITC, Britannia, Perfetti, J&J Consumer, Reckitt Benckiser, Pepsico, HCCB, Novartis, Lifestyle, Hector Beverages, Vodafone, Airtel and AT Foods.

Banking & Finance:

Over 30% of students accepted internship offers from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Deutsche Bank, Edelweiss, Antique Capital, Arihant Capital, ARC Financials Bank of America, Merrill Lynch (BAML), Northbridge Capital, Equirius Capital, Finnacle Capital JP Morgan Chase, Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC, Citibank, American Express, ICICI, Axis Bank and Birla Financials Asset Management.

Consulting:

Consulting sector absorbed 21% of students to intern in consulting majors such as Avalon Consulting, Asclepius Consulting, Mindtree, Noam Consulting Accenture Management Consulting, Wipro Consulting, CGN Consulting and Cognizant Business Consulting.

Operations:

About 12% of students preferred to intern in operations domain. The participating companies were Larsen & Toubro, General Electric, Reliance Industries, TAS, Mahindra & Mahindra, Jindal Steel, Gammon, Cummins, Marg Infra, Trident Group and SKP Group.

Others:

Remaining 6% of students opted to intern with other sectors represented by Max Value Online, Green Vortex, Amazon, Redbus.in, Comviva, Waterhealth, Sampark PR, Flip kart, Infibeam, Bombil Media, Orange Ideas and Yatra.com.

Students were offered niche profiles such as digital marketing, e-waste management, water management, mobile VAS product management, media and advertising.
