SIBM Bangalore Placement Report of 2011

SIBM_latestSymbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Bangalore recently completed the Final Placements process for the batch of 2009-11. The B-school also successfully completed the Summer Internships of the 2010-12 batch.

Final Placements 2011
The average salary of the batch 2009-11 is Rs. 7.18 lakh per annum and the highest salary is Rs. 15.51 lakh per annum. The top recruiters included Procter & Gamble, Bosch, IBM, Mother Dairy, Capital One, GE, Citibank, Infosys, Deloitte Consulting, Vodafone, Wipro Technologies, Target Corporation, Dell Inc etc. The following sectors were represented by the participating companies: BFSI, Manufacturing, Telecom, FMCG, Retail, Consulting and IT.

The IT sector emerged as the favorite with 45 per cent students opting for the IT companies. It was followed by BFSI with 16 per cent recruitment, Consulting witnessed 11 per cent recruitment, FMCG 10 per cent. Other sectors: Retail-5 per cent, Manufacturing-4 per cent, Telecom-2 per cent. Commenting on the Placements 2011, Dr. Pankaj Gupta, Director, SIBM Bangalore said, "I feel very happy & proud of the achievements at SIBM Bangalore. Summer Internship Programme
The Summer Internship process also saw a large number of prominent recruiters visiting the campus. The notable companies included BHEL, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank of India, Accenture, Ogilvy & Mather, Future Group, ITC, LG Electronics, Mahindra Satyam etc.

The sectors represented were: BFSI, Consulting, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Infrastructure, IT, Manufacturing, Retail etc. FMCG was the highest recruiter in the Summer Internship process with 20 per cent, followed by IT and Retail with 14 per cent each. Consulting sector saw 12 per cent recruitment. Manufacturing and other sectors saw 11 per cent recruitment each. Next was Media sector with five percent recruitment followed by Infrastructure with two per cent recruitment.
