online_coursesIn the last one month or so, I have been researching a lot on various courses available for law students. I spoke to hundreds of law students about this. I even spoke to dozens of law teachers. This has led me to some pretty interesting insights about legal education – let me share them with you in today's column.

IP_Leaders_2GyanCentral catches up with Ramanuj Mukherjee, the founder of iPleaders, a legal education company. An alumnus of The WB National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata, Ramanuj tells us about a one of a kind online diploma course started by NUJS and iPleaders, titled Diploma in Entrepreneurship Administration and Business Laws. The course has seen unprecedented response and has beaten many other well established distance learning courses from different law schools in terms of enrollment figures within a matter of two months. It is an unusual law course which is not intended only for law practitioners, but entrepreneurs, engineers, innovators and managers as well. The course is open to students of all disciplines as well as working professionals and businessmen. Ramanuj further tells us what makes the course stand out and why his team quit law firm jobs to enter the hitherto non-tempting legal education business.
